Any pro tips for using Wine Wash®?

Every dishwasher and wine glass combination is different. The trick is finding the "sweet spot" in your dishwasher, for your particular stemware. We encourage you to try different spots along the edge of the top and bottom rack (bonus: the top rack is adjustable in many dishwashers if you're glasses are too tall). Once you've identified that sweet spot, for convenience, you can leave Wine Wash clipped in between cycles. Please note, Wine Wash is 3" in length from end to end.

Once placed, adjust the glass and adjust Wine Wash on the stem and rack to make sure it feels secure. Give your glass a little wiggle to make sure!

What is the Wine Wash® product made of?

It is made of a BPA-free, food grade silicone. It is nontoxic and dishwasher safe.

Will Wine Wash® work with any wine glass?

We have tested hundreds of combinations of wine glasses in various dishwashers, so we can confidently say that the product works with most wine glasses. However, we have come across a few wild ones that aren’t a great fit with our product (i.e. the comically large wine glass that holds an entire bottle of wine). We also encourage you to make sure the wine glass you’re using is dishwasher safe (rest assured most are, even the fancy ones!).

Will Wine Wash® work with any dishwasher?

Wine Wash® works in most dishwashers, with most wine glasses. Every dishwasher and wine glass combination is different, so the trick is finding the sweet spot in your particular dishwasher, for your particular glasses. Try different spots along the top and bottom racks (bonus: the top rack is adjustable in many dishwashers if you're glasses are too tall). Once you find a good spot, you can leave Wine Wash® in place between cycles for convenience.

We have found that some dishwashers with very low profile racks are not always a great fit with tall wine glasses. If you're not sure, we encourage you to measure (Wine Wash® is 3" in length) - or don't hesitate to contact us.

If you have a dishwasher safe glass/dishwasher scenario where Wine Wash® isn’t a fit, drop us a line. We can help troubleshoot and even use the data for future product development to make a solution that works for you!

Do you have any troubleshooting tips?

Tip 1: Every dishwasher and wine glass combination is different. The trick is finding the "sweet spot" in your dishwasher, for your particular stemware. Try different spots along the edge of the top and bottom rack (the top rack is adjustable in many dishwashers if you're glasses are too tall).

Tip 2: Make sure Wine Wash® feels secure on your glass before running the cycle. The end grips of Wine Wash® should be securely hugging the glass' stem and the dishwasher's rack bar. If it looks to be slipping off either end, try sliding the Wine Wash® on the stem or rack - or adjusting the placement of your glass. Don't be afraid to give things a little jiggle to ensure the fit is correct!

Tip 3: Before you run your first cycle with Wine Wash®, close the dishwasher door and re-open to ensure that a protrusion in the door or side wall is not pushing the clip off of the rack. If everything looks good, wash away!

Is it really safer to wash your wine glasses in the dishwasher than by hand?

Yes (for dishwasher safe stemware). The most common reason glasses break is from accidental mishandling, so you're far likelier to break delicate stemware when you’re washing it by hand. "Manufacturers of even the thinnest, most expensive stemware recommend washing wine glasses in the dishwasher." *

Product FAQs

How do I care for my Scrubbly™ Kitchen Sponges?

Rinse and wring out your sponge after each use to prolong the life of the sponge. Keep it in a dry place when not in use (we beg of you, don't leave it sopping wet in a damp sink all weekend long).

Any tips on caring for my Wine Wash® Cleaning Gloves?

After use, gently rinse with water and air dry. Scrubbing the graphic can cause it to fade over time, so focus your elbow grease on sparkling sinks and pouring drinks.

Do the Wine Wash® Cleaning Gloves contain latex?

Yes, this product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals. In the case of an allergic reaction, discontinue use and consult a health care provider.

How should I clean my Tipsy Towel™?

Tipsy Towels are 100% cotton and machine washable. By design, they are lint repellent and perfectly sound to run through a washer and dryer. We typically wash in a white load, use warm water and detergent. For tough stains, we recommend using a stain remover like OxiClean Laundry Stain Remover. If you're a bleach freak like we are, tread lightly. You can pour a little into the load, but we recommend avoiding spot treating with bleach.

Any tips on how to use my Wine Wash® Air Freshener?

Avoid product contact with any surface (i.e. don't leave it laying on your car dashboard, kitchen table, etc.). It works best when it's hanging - from your trash can, your toilet (we find it to be a fun surprise for guests), your gym locker, under your sink... really anywhere that might smell a little funky.

This is obvious but we're going to say it anyways - avoid product contact with eyes. Also, we know it smells lovely, but don't eat it, drink it or feed it to your pets.

Once the package is opened, the scent will typically last anywhere from 2-6 weeks.

What about tips for using my Wine Wash® Microfiber Polishing Cloth?

The microfiber cloth works great for drying and polishing your glassware. It's lint-free, scratch-free and oh-so soft. The cloth can be used dry or lightly damp.

Pro tip coming in hot: The cloth is oversized, so you can use one side/hand to hold the glass and another side/hand to polish. Never hold the glass by the base to polish the bowl, as it can break the delicate stem. If you have a stubborn spot, don't scrub too hard - dampen the towel and then gently polish the area.

Machine-wash hot or cold with mild detergent. Wash with white or light colors and similar materials (try to avoid washing with cotton materials because microfiber will want to grab on to the lint!). Avoid using fabric softeners. Air dry or machine-dry on low or no heat.
